The Origin of Frost Radiance Festival

On Tarisland, each race has its unique holidays and customs, and the Frost Radiance Festival is one of them. A cherished traditional celebration that marks the arrival of winter and the close of the year, the Frost Radiance Festival began with humanity but has recently been embraced by other races across the Tarisland.

Every December, the hearts of human cities lights up with a tall celebration tree, decked out in a dazzling array of holiday decorations: ribbons, ornaments, and twinkling starry lights. Gift boxes are scattered under the tree like little surprises waiting to be found.

On the day of the Frost Radiance Festival, the magic scholars of SilverLit work their craft to summon a magical snowfall that blankets the city. The snow will linger on the ground, melting away only when the festival ends. Meanwhile, the Scardino Icefield, with its perpetual blanket of snow, has no need for such magical touches. One of the festival's standout features is its wintertime activities—snowball fights, building snowmen, and other traditions that bring the magic of the season to life.

[Boss Challenge: The Lord of Winter Descends]

When the Frost Radiance Festival begins, the people of Grenny light their warmest lanterns, but their joy is soon overshadowed by the arrival of the sinister Lord of Winter—Magnus, the Ice Giant.

Once the most learned Snow Lion in the village, Magnus understood humans on the Icefield more than anyone else. He enjoyed studying the petroglyphs left by ancestors in the caves since childhood, musing on them all day long. From them, Magnus came to a chilling conclusion: humans are the most cunning creatures ever to tread the icefields.

One night, Magnus found Silvermane, the warrior guarding the village, slipping out of the village along with another Snow Lion. In a secluded place, he saw them take out a luminous stone. But the two disappeared before Magnus could stop them. Magnus always believed that the stone was a dangerous artifact that would bring disaster to the Snow Lion clan. He felt his mind in turmoil, and in his distress, he prayed with deep reverence.

An unknown while distant god affirmed his worry, telling him that the stone was one of calamity and had already manipulated the younger Snow Lions, and that disasters would soon befall the village. To avert the tragic extinction of the clan, Magnus had to submit to It.

That unnoticed night, Magnus, out of his concern for the clan's survival, accepted the dark forces bestowed by divinity and became the Ice Giant.

Now, Magnus advances, driven by dark forces, ready to strike at the human cities. Brave Adventurers, rally to the defense of Grenny's people and repel the Lord of Winter!

[Casual Gameplays: Building Snowman and Snowball Fight]

The Scardino Icefield is covered in snow year-round, but that doesn't stop the locals from celebrating the Frost Radiance Festival with enthusiasm. Snowball fights and snowman building have become iconic traditions of the festival, carried on through the years.

When the festival arrives and the snow blankets the land, residents get to work, crafting snowmen in all shapes and sizes, dressing them up in colorful decorations.

The locals dive into the fun, grabbing snowballs from the piles and launching into epic snowball fights with their friends.

With the winter chill biting, getting hit by a snowball doesn't just sting—it leaves you frozen in place, slowing every step (Crisp debuff). Take three hits, and you'll transform into a giant snowman, turning into the ultimate "star" of this winter revelry.

[Savor Festive Treats for Buffs]

In addition to the fun holiday activities, the people love making all sorts of festive treats. Gingerbread bears, snowman cakes, Christmas tree cookies, gift box cakes... these delicious pastries not only bring extra sweetness to the winter season but also grant adventurers unexpected buffs when they take a bite.

[Collect Holiday Tokens for Special Rewards]

During the Frost Radiance Festival, complete Event Quests/Daily Quests like repelling the Lord of Winter or casual gameplays to earn Challenge Coins/Festival Tokens – Frost Radiance Stars.

With these Frost Radiance Stars, Adventurers can draw for Water Crystal Medals, Star Spirits, Challenge Coins, Emblem Chests, and exclusive items like the pendant Cornucopia.

*The rewards in the prize pool can only be drawn once, but you can get all rewards once you complete all the Daily Quests.
